From Instagram to Table

Here’s a familiar scenario:

You open your Instagram account, scroll up your entire feed, and… BOOM! An Instagram post of your favorite restaurant promotion their best-seller or new offering. Yummy, right? Then, you find yourself wanting it more than ever. And in an instant!

Don’t worry. Instagram got you covered with all your food cravings and . Their new integration now allows users to book a table or make a reservation right inside the application.

How does it work?

Booking a table through an Instagram account is just a few taps away.

You simply have to go to the business’ profile and tap on the book button. Once you have tapped that, it will direct you to a browser (which opens just right in the app) where you can book a table. Just fill out the form and just wait for their confirmation

Instagram has revealed that they will soon make it possible for users to just tap their profile to automatically fill out the details from their IG profile. That makes it so much easier!

Is it only for booking restaurants?

Well, that’s a good question, and the answer is way better!

Nope, this new integration doesn’t only apply for restaurants. You can book seats to movies, theaters, hotels, and even your favorite hairstylist.

Instagram is aiming to help businesses connect and reach out to their audience easily. This makes Instagram a complete marketing tool. It does not only advertise or promote a business’ product or service, but it pushes any IG user that they entice to jump right in and dig in to their cravings.

Obviously, Instagram is now shifting the focus of their platform to businesses much more than the users. Based on the past few integrations that they made, we can expect IG to gear towards a more business-centered perspective when it comes to improving their features.

Instagram’s current integration is in partnership with Acuity, Atom Tickets, Booksy, ChowNow, Eatstreet, Eventbrite, Fandango, GrubHub, MyTime, OpenTable, Reserve, Restorando, Resy, SevenRooms, StyleSeat, Tock, and Yelp Reservations. Instagram is also expecting to add compatibility for the tool with Appointy, Genbook, LaFourchette, Mindbody, Schedulicity, SetMore, and Vagaro. (DigitalTrends.com)
